Cosplay Idols
junior idol As an aspiring cosplayer, you have to have at least one cosplay idol. Why? Because most people who has have you been successful at anything was initially inspired by somebody else. Someone who motivated these to be similar in results or even better someday. Hey, dream big anything is possible. Who knows, eventually you could potentially become so excellent at cosplay that one could make a living from that. Imagine spending all of your days attending conventions all over the world and being bought it for! Yeah, you heard me. Such a thing exists . . . with out it’s “not somewhere on the rainbow.”
Random fun fact:
In Japan, they have what are known as professional cosplayers, or cosplay models. Yes, here individuals are paid to dress in costume and get their picture taken. Appears like a sweet job, ne? Nevertheless they take their work very seriously, and they must because professional cosplayers demand $150 an hour on average, and even more every A half-hour after that. Also, the point that professional cosplaying doesn’t require a degree in education or any special training causes it to be a highly competitive field.
It’s well known the importance of screen shots for cosplay references. Guide you get it “right” making your cosplay “accurate.” But after all, with all the L cosplayers nowadays plus the omnipresent Misa misa, Sasuke, Axel and Roxas cosplayers caught, an “accurate” cosplay sometimes just aren’t enough to stand out for a convention anymore.
So, how does one create a cosplay outfit that transcends everybody else? That makes fellow congoingers stop and stare in awe, crowd around you to complement your creative cosplay costume or ask for taking photos people and then glomp you so desperately your ribs break and also you die? . . . okay, maybe not that last one . . .
But my point is when you want to be noticeable at a cosplay convention, maybe even win one (or all) of the costume awards, then you must have an outfit that turns heads. How would you do this? First, look for a Cosplay Idol. This is someone you can be looking up to, to higher yourself. Think about “What makes them so great?” It is their accessories? Or their eye for detail? Their selection of fabrics, or even the way their poses and personality glow in photos? Seriously consider the costume you want to recreate, use your imagination and convey a little of your own personality for your cosplay.
Popular Cosplay Idols include internet celebrity Adella, and professional Japanese cosplayer Arisa Mizuhara. But there are many, many talented cosplayers available. Check out the website within the Resource Box for more Cosplay Idols!
